Aforementioned Polish band's name was Labyrinth.pl, but it was changed for Animations in the year 2007. The band started its activity in the 21st century and recorded the debut in the following line-up: Kuba Debski (guitars), Tomek Konopka (keys), Bartek Bisaga (bass) and Pawel Larysz (drums).

After the first listening my expectations were surpassed! I could describe their music with hundreds of words. Poles play a complex and precise kind of instrumental music. It is virtuosic, melodic, clever, cosmic, heavy, brilliant, technically advanced, ingenious, exhilarating, well-arranged and layered by a multi-coloured keyboards. Moreover, it is rich in sonic load, surprising accelerations and other weird gambits. "Animations" is a movie-like progressive soundtrack played with instrumental mastery.

This CD is an evidence that progressive music is being steadily reinvented by talented musicians. I experienced a positive upheaval after the first listening. I do stress that Animations is the world class band made up of highly gifted masters from Poland. His work can be compared to Liquid Tension, A Triggering Myth and Scale The Summit. It means that "Animations" is a perfect stuff to be thought through. I can also describe this band with three Ps - Polish Progressive Pride. Undoubtedly, "Animations" is one of the greatest albums in the history of instrumental progressive metal.
